Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching this content module is to study the principle of operation of fiber optic cables, lasers and photoreceptors. Based on the understanding of the basic physical processes that occur in fiber optic cables, the study of the advantages of fiber optics as a communication medium, its components and the construction of fiber optic systems based on them. in the process of studying the discipline, students should know the basics of information transmission, the processes of radiation propagation through fiber optic cables. Learn the structure of fiber-optic components: cables, lasers, light-emitting diodes, photoreceivers and splitters.
Завдання: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student should be able to demonstrate the following professional competences: - to learn the methods of information transmission by the method of packet communication through fiber optic cables; - to study the types of modern fiber optic cables, their advantages and disadvantages; - to study the existing types of telecommunication equipment for NGN technology of the world's leading companies.
