Мета вивчення дисципліни: The goal is to show students the main software tools for image processing, their principles of operation, installation, debugging, and operation based on microprocessor technology, taking into account the tasks faced by developers and users in the field of information technology and image processing.

Learning outcomes: - know the different formats for presenting graphic information and digital conversion methods used to present graphic information in the considered graphic formats. - know the principles of operation, structure and characteristics of Adobe Photoshop; - methodology, debugging and operation of Adobe Photoshop; be able to analyze the characteristics and find the optimal image processing in accordance with the specified criteria; - understand the features and nature of the processes that take place in the implementation of appropriate software procedures in the software environment Adobe Photoshop.

Assessment methods and criteria: Grades for laboratory work are set on the basis of determining the correctness, completeness and independence of the decisions obtained for each of the tasks: - the results obtained are correct, complete and obtained independently - 100% of the maximum score; - the results obtained are correct, complete and obtained with significant assistance and adjustment of the teacher - 90% of the maximum score; - the decisions obtained in the work are correct, but incomplete and obtained with significant help and adjustment of the teacher - 75% of the maximum score; - the obtained results contain errors, but the approach to obtaining a solution and the use of tools for obtaining a solution is correct - 50% of the maximum score. The exam is conducted in written-oral form or in the form of electronic testing on the basis of VNS of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" (written work or electronic test is evaluated with 60 points, oral component - with 10 points). The oral survey involves a sample survey of different sections of the course and simple tasks.

Examination control: Written component, testing at the National Security Service - 60 points; Oral component - 10 points; Total for the discipline - 100 points.
