Practical Training

Major: Architecture and Town Planning
Code of subject: 6.191.00.O.20
Credits: 3.00
Department: Design and Architecture Fundamentals
Lecturer: Associate Professor, Candidate of Architecture Bilinska Oksana Bogdanivna
Semester: 2 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: As a result of the practice, students must acquire new knowledge and skills, which are provided for by the professional and practical component of the OPP of the specialty. - to master the techniques in practice: carrying out architectural measurements; execution, design and reading of drawings; implementation, composition of graphic images of architectural objects; execution of sketches and watercolor toning for modeling architectural images; execution of a reproduced three-dimensional image of an architectural object. - to learn the main styles and architectural forms from the classical architectural and artistic heritage. Knowledge: Structures of the practice base; methods of conducting scientific research (design and construction) works, obtaining and analyzing theoretical and real-world data (following steps followed by drawings), making a relief model, publishing the results; software necessary for processing research results and design methods; PR01. Free communication on professional issues in national and foreign languages orally and in writing. Skill: Conducting a search and analysis of scientific and technical literature on the subject of research; summarizing information from literary sources and determining the purpose, tasks and importance of research, their scientific novelty and practical value; receiving and analyzing research results, carrying out their statistical processing; carrying out field studies using equipment and measuring instruments and bringing them to different scales, assessing the accuracy of the results obtained. PR06. The ability to collect, analyze and evaluate information from various sources, necessary for making informed design architectural and urban planning decisions. PR10. The ability to use modern means and methods of engineering, artistic and computer graphics used in architectural and urban planning. PR19. Ability to organize presentations and discussions of architectural, urban planning and landscape projects.
Required prior and related subjects: Previous - History of World Architecture, Descriptive geometry, Architectural Graphics and Composition, Part 1, Drawing, painting, sculpture, Related Requisites - Architectural Graphics and Composition, Part 2. Design Graphics, Design of Small Architectural Forms.
Summary of the subject: Educational practice is designed to master the technique of fixing architectural objects, architectural dimensions, mastering various types of effective and perfect graphic presentation of architectural drawings, the representation of architectural objects in a drawing, watercolor toning, their reproduction in volume (relief) by means of volumetric and spatial compositions, sculptures. Acquiring practical hand drawing skills will only add to the wide range of possibilities of using computer programs to study and depict classical architectural forms.
Assessment methods and criteria: Control of the level of knowledge and practical skills of students is carried out by checking an independent task in the form of a differentiated assessment, which allows for a systematic assessment of the student's level of assimilation of knowledge and skills from "Educational practice". The final score in points is not displayed "automatically". Based on the results of passing the full scope of the Educational Practice task, the student can receive a maximum of "100" points on a 100-point scale. The distribution of points for obtaining a final assessment involves the completion of an album of works (a list of graphic works of complex fixation of the object) - from "0" to "100" points. Determining the level of knowledge and technical skills is carried out by the following control methods: control of independent work, assessment of the album of practice (historical reference, photo fixation, sketches, drawings, watercolors) and completed relief, presentation of completed work.
