Summary of the subject: – basic concepts and definitions related to the field of labor protection are considered; up-to-date data on the legislative and regulatory framework on occupational health and safety are provided, with an emphasis on local regulations; the issue of comprehensive management of occupational safety and health in Ukraine is covered, with an emphasis on the main requirements for the construction and functioning of the occupational safety and health management system at the enterprise; harmful and dangerous factors of the production environment and labor process, the impact of the latter on human health and work capacity are considered; highlights the main measures and means aimed at creating safe and harmless working conditions with an emphasis on the features of electrical safety measures; information on fire safety of enterprises is provided with an emphasis on the issue of choosing fire prevention systems and fire protection systems, primary means of fire extinguishing;
– basic concepts and definitions related to the sphere of life safety are considered; the model of human activity is analyzed in order to determine the effectiveness of security and risk management systems, attention is focused on the psychophysiological and social features of human activity and their role in ensuring personal and collective safety; the natural environment is considered as the main criterion for safe life; the description of man-made, socio-political dangers is given; attention was paid to the prevention of emergency situations, the organization of actions in emergency situations, and the provision of first aid to victims.

Assessment methods and criteria: 1. Acquisition of theoretical material (lecture material and questions of course topics assigned for independent study) – frontal written survey or test control of theoretical training in a virtual educational environment (reliability, correspondence, recognition tests).
2. Performance of practical work on individual tasks (calculation tasks, analysis of the production situation) – evaluation of the quality and completeness of individual tasks, oral survey.
3. Performance of experimental laboratory works – evaluation of performance results and the ability to interpret the obtained results, test control of theoretical training in a virtual educational environment (reliability, compliance, recognition tests).
4. Calculation and graphic (control) work – evaluation based on the analysis of the following factors: the correctness of the performance of the calculation part of the work; correct execution of illustrative material; compliance with the requirements for the design and structure of the work.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: 20 points (20%): execution and defense labs;
20 points (20%): execution and defense practical works;
20 points (20%): execution calculated-graphical work;
40 points (40%): test on theoretical material.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: Тhe form of semester control of an academic discipline is differentiated credit, therefore the semester grade is set as a total assessment of the results of current control of all types of mandatory work provided for in the work program of the academic discipline, namely:
– max 40 points for mastering the theoretical material of 15 lectures (testing in a virtual educational environment; the number of points for each of the lectures is determined by the complexity of the educational material, the volume of the educational material submitted for independent study);
– max 20 points for the performance of practical work (max 5 points for the work, of which 3 points – for the correctness of the individual task, 2 points – for the systematicity of the work and the level of knowledge demonstrated in oral answers);
– max 20 points for the performance of laboratory work (max 5 points for work, and the results of performance, compliance with the requirements for registration and protection of work through testing in a virtual educational environment are subject to evaluation);
– max 20 points for the performance of calculation and graphic work (max 9 points for the correct performance of the calculation part, max 10 points for the correct performance of illustrative material and formulation of conclusions, max 1 point for compliance with the requirements regarding the design and structure of the work).
To the number of points scored by the student in the discipline, incentive points for the publication of scientific works, participation in Olympiads according to the profile of the discipline, etc. can be added. The total number of points cannot exceed 100.
