The ability to use various methods, including modern information technologies, for effective communication at the professional and social levels. KOM3. The ability to work on an object as part of a group.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisite: Philosophy, Petrography, applied materials science of natural stone. Co-requisite: Scientific basis of research on the architectural decoration of historic buildings and polychromy, Restoration project, part 1.
Summary of the subject: The educational program "Fundamentals of chemical-technological processes in restoration, part 2" consists of sequential teaching of the theoretical course with parallel practical classes and individual works from the main sections of the discipline. The study of the main scientific principles of chemical and technological processes that occur in architectural monuments under the influence of external factors, chemical and technological processes that occur during restoration works and that form the foundation of modern knowledge in the field of theory and practice, cleaning, restoration and operation architectural monuments and works of art. To acquire a high level, a restorer specialist needs basic knowledge of the basics of chemical and technological processes and basic concepts, problems, peculiarities of conducting research, methods of processing architectural details from stone and building ceramics.
Опис: The teaching of the discipline "Fundamentals of chemical and technological processes in restoration, part 1" is designed to give future specialists-restorers basic knowledge to take into account in their future practice the features of application, materials and substances for conservation, objects of architectural heritage and is based on the following sections - features of interaction gaseous substances and liquids with stone, processes occurring during the use of polymer materials of natural origin and synthetic ones polymers during restoration, organic dyes, physico-chemical processes occurring during the application of pigments, biocides and antiseptics, physico-chemical and technological aspects of the use of materials and substances used in restoration. The discipline examines the relationship between the composition, structure and properties of objects of restoration, the laws of their change under external influence, as well as the acquisition of practical skills for establishing the necessary properties of restoration materials and the rational selection of their types.
Assessment methods and criteria: Evaluation methods and criteria: Current control (PC): Practical work – 30%. Independent work - 70%.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: General criteria for evaluating students' educational achievements The grade "excellent" is given for complete and solid knowledge of the material in the given volume, the ability to freely perform practical tasks provided for by the educational program; for knowledge of basic and additional literature; for showing creativity in understanding and creative use of acquired knowledge and skills. "Good" is given to the student's demonstration of complete, systematic knowledge of the discipline, successful completion of practical tasks, mastering of basic and additional literature, ability to independently supplement and update knowledge. But there are minor errors in the student's answer. "Satisfactory" is considered to be the manifestation of knowledge of the main educational material in an amount sufficient for further study and future professional activity, superficial familiarity with the main and additional literature provided for by the educational program; significant errors in the performance of practical tasks are possible, but the student is able to eliminate them with the help of the teacher. Thus, the grade "unsatisfactory" is given to a student who is unable to study or perform professional activities after graduating from a university without re-training in the program of the relevant discipline.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
