Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: KN 2. Knowledge of the structure, elements and functioning of on-board and ground pilotage and navigation complexes. KN 7. Knowledge of satellite navigation systems. KN 8. Knowledge of aeronautical systems, methods and means of their simulation. KN 10. Knowledge of software tools of integrated air navigation systems. SC 7. Develop and use microprocessor systems and software modeling tools to solve complex problems of avionics.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites – Microsystem avionics. Microsystem avionics (Course project) Aircraft control systems and their simulation. Corequisites - Information technologies of aerospace systems
Summary of the subject: The educational discipline involves the study of such basic topics. Study of mathematical and physical foundations of methods and systems of navigation. Methods of positioning, including satellite, inertial navigation. Aeronautical service of manned and unmanned aircraft flights. Algorithms of operation of inertial navigation systems. Methods of determining the orientation of the object relative to the inertial coordinate system. Algorithms of operation of platformless inertial navigation systems.
Assessment methods and criteria: Assessment of the level of achievement of learning outcomes is carried out by the following methods: - assessment of the level of readiness of students to perform laboratory work; - assessment of the ability to correctly perform laboratory work; - assessment of the correctness of the preparation of laboratory work reports; - assessment of knowledge during the defense of control papers; - selective surveys in the course of conducting lectures and laboratory classes; - assessment of knowledge based on the results of performing test tasks and control work.
