Learning outcomes: 1. Ability to apply knowledge in the field of information security of radio and telecommunications systems and networks for planning and application of measures, decision-making to ensure the protection of information and technical systems in the field of professional activity. 2. Ability to design systems and networks in the field of professional activity using current regulations and technical standards. 3. Ability to speak English to a sufficient extent to carry out professional activities, write scientific articles, read and interpret international technical standards. 4. Knowledge of theories and methods of designing radio and telecommunication systems and networks to the extent necessary to solve specialized problems and practical problems in the field of professional activity. 5. Ability to apply the methodological basis for research in the field of radio electronics and telecommunications. 6. Ability to design systems and networks in the field of professional activity using current regulations and technical standards. 7. Ability to apply knowledge in the field of civil protection in professional activities in order to minimize the impact of emergencies on the functioning of radio and telecommunications systems. 8. Ability to conduct research in the field of information communication networks to the extent sufficient to identify patterns of their behavior and increase the efficiency of their operation. 12. Knowledge of protocols and methods of building infocommunication networks to the extent sufficient for professional activities. 13. Knowledge of software platforms and technologies for their application for the development of specialized software for information communication networks. 14. Ability to develop specialized software systems and complexes to the extent sufficient for professional activities. 15. Ability to plan, develop and research distributed heterogeneous service systems using elements of Cloud technologies. 16. Knowledge of the basics of system programming of infocommunications to the extent sufficient for the development and maintenance of specialized software systems. 17. You will be able to learn the main advances in development and design of distributed systems. We will also learn the relation between distributed systems and clouds.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Written reports on laboratory practicals, oral Q&A, tests (45%) • Term test (55 %, exam): written component (73%) and oral component (27%).

Summary of the subject: Coursework is designed to create and develop the skills of designing and developing distributed information systems. Explanatory note to the course work must include textual and illustrative material. Duration of the coursework implementation is one term (16 weeks). Normative time that is allocated to student implementation is 60 hours.
