Credits: 5.00
Department: Photonics
Lecturer: DrSc., Prof. Muravskyi Leonid Ihorovych
Semester: 1 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: As a result of the module studying students will know the basic principles of implementation of optical-digital methods for technical diagnostics and non-destructive testing of materials and structural elements with the help of specialized laser and optoelectronic systems and will be able:
• to align and to adjust optical and opto-mechanical elements and components of specialized laser and optoelectronic systems;
• to calculate the optical schemes of coherent optical processors, laser phase shift interferometers, electronic speckle interferometers, optical-digital image correlators;
• to apply the acquired knowledge for the design, construction, tuning and operation of modern laser and optoelectronic systems.
Required prior and related subjects: Applied Optics.
Metrology, standardization and certification.
Quantum Electronics and Laser Technique.
Holography.
Interferometry.
Optical measurements.
Summary of the subject: Theoretical foundations of laser and optoelectronic systems. Image sampling. Coherent optical Fourier processor. Optical spatial filtering. Spatial light modulators. Phase-shifting laser interferometry. White light interferometry. Formation of optical speckles. Electronic speckle pattern interferometry. Electronic shearography. Methods and tools of digital holography. Digital optical computers.
Assessment methods and criteria: • current control (30%): written reports on laboratory works, oral examination;
