Learning outcomes: Systematized knowledge of the discipline under study: mathematical and physical foundations for determining the coordinates of objects in three-dimensional space; principles of creation ground and satellite radio engineering, as well as inertial and correlation-extreme systems;structure of navigation signals; errors determining coordinates; structures and para-meters on board navigation equipment(and its modules) of aircraft.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Physics, Higher Mathematics, Informatics in Avionics, Basics of Programming. Co-requisites: Avionics Tools and Systems Design, Microprocessors and Microprocessor Systems in Avionics, Fundamentals of Circuit Theory, Information-Measuring Systems of Avionics.
Summary of the subject: Physical and mathematical bases of navigation definitions; coordinate reference systems. Ground and satellite radio navigation systems; inertial and correlation-extreme systems; principles of creation and operation, structures and parameters of navigation signals, systems and their components; errors of navigation definitions; structures and parameters of aircraft onboard equipment.
Assessment methods and criteria: The current control during the laboratory works (30%); Examination control: control procedure - written and verbal part (70%).
