Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline student must know: -general principles of construction of radio communication and broadcasting systems; -modulation types, used in radio communication, radio broadcasting and television; -principles for the construction of radio recievers; -principles for the construction of radio transmitting devices; -general principles of the organization of TV broadcasting networks; - features of the main systems of color television; - the basics of constructing digital television systems.
Required prior and related subjects: Methods of generation and formation of radio signals. Fundamentals of the theory of radio engineering systems. Radioautomatics. Methods of reception and processing of signals. Analogue electronic devices.
Summary of the subject: Radio communication and radio broadcasting systems. General principles of radio communication organization. Classification of radio communication systems. Features of distribution and use of radio waves. Radio wave bands used in broadcasting and television and their features. Types of modulation used in radio communication. Radio receivers for radio communication systems. Basic parameters of receivers and their nodes. Input circuits, preamplifiers, mixers, amplifiers of intermediate frequency. Automatic gain control in recievers. Automatic Frequency Adjustment Systems, PLL Systems and networks of audio broadcasting. General information about sound broadcast systems, path formation of programs. Tract of primary distribution of programs, construction of broadcasting broadcasting network. Prospects for the development of broadcasting Radio transmitting systems of radio communication systems. Block diagram and basic characteristics of radio transmitters.
