Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the educational discipline and the learning outcomes are to study the main characteristics of information display devices, their structure, principle of operation and basic technical characteristics; familiarization with the current state of development of information display devices based on liquid crystals, plasma, organic LEDs, field emission and electrochromic materials.
Завдання: General competences: ZK1. Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. ZK2. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. ZK5. Skills in using information and communication technologies. ZK7. Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. Professional competences: FC3. The ability to integrate knowledge of the fundamental sections of physics and chemistry to understand the processes of solid-state, functional and power electronics, electrical engineering. FC9. The ability to determine and evaluate the characteristics and parameters of electronic equipment materials, analog and digital electronic devices for the design of microprocessor and electronic systems, devices of functional, quantum and laser electronics.
Learning outcomes: PH1. ZN.6. Apply experimental skills (knowledge of experimental methods and the procedure for conducting experiments) to test hypotheses and research electronic phenomena, be able to use standard equipment, plan, draw up diagrams; analyze, model and critically evaluate the obtained results. PH2. ZN.17. Demonstrate skills in conducting experimental research related to professional activity; improve measurement methods; control the reliability of the obtained results; systematize and analyze data obtained experimentally. PH3. UM2. Evaluate the subject of educational activity, determine the general goal and specific tasks, choose adequate means of solving them to achieve the result, exercise the necessary self-control, use reference literature and technical documentation, develop and apply your creative and organizational abilities in professional activities, organize the workplace, plan working hours PH4. UM9. Analyze scientific and technical literature (including foreign) regarding the state, trends and development of electronic equipment, technical, technological and design documentation, use new technical solutions. PH5. UM.12. Evaluate the functioning of electronic devices, devices and systems, determine deviations from the norm of parameters and modes of operation of electronic devices, adjust the corresponding electronic devices, adjust the corresponding electronic devices and devices to achieve normal modes of operation. Use of communicative competence for effective interaction in various spheres of communication; selection and systematization of information materials for the purpose of communication in the professional sphere. Summary of the subject: The program of the educational discipline "Elements and devices of information display" is concluded for students of the Institute of Telecommunications, Radio Electronics and Electronic Engineering who are studying Electronics. In the educational discipline, the physical foundations, the principle of operation of information display elements and devices, and the functioning mechanisms of various types of displays are studied.

Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: performed and protected laboratory work. Final control: exam.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control: laboratory work - 30 points Examination control: written component – 50 points; oral component - 20 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
