Мета вивчення дисципліни: The goal is to form an idea of modern medical equipment, the directions of its development, maintenance and its inspection. Creating an idea about the types of medical equipment, general principles of functioning as intended and maintenance. Students acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the development, operation, and maintenance of complex hardware and software medical complexes and systems.
Завдання: general competences: - ZK1. Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. - ZK2. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of professional activity. - ZK9. Ability to communicate with representatives of other professional groups at different levels (with experts from other fields of knowledge/types of economic activity). - ZK10. Skills of performing safe activities. - ZK13. The ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, equipment and technologies, to use various types of motor activity for active recreation and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. professional competences: - FK4. Ability to provide technical and functional characteristics of systems and tools used in medicine and biology (for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation). - FC7. The ability to plan, design, develop, install, operate, maintain, maintain, monitor and coordinate the repair of devices, equipment and systems for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, as well as Internet of Things devices used in hospitals and research institutes. - FCS1.1. Knowledge of methods and means of studying and analyzing the effects of physical fields on the human body during the operation of biotechnical and medical devices and systems. - FCS1.4. Ability to operate diagnostic and therapeutic systems and perform diagnostic information processing.
Learning outcomes: - know the stages of development of various biomedical equipment; - know the basic types of electronic biomedical equipment; - know the features of the medical equipment market; - be able to organize work with medical equipment in treatment and prevention facilities; - have safety standards when working with medical equipment; - have the basics of maintenance of biomedical equipment
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Physics, part 1,2. Component base of biomedical equipment Fundamentals of materials science Co-requisites: Exploitation of biomedical devices
Summary of the subject: The course studies the modern classification of medical equipment, stages and directions of its development, the order of its maintenance and methods of inspection. The separate types and units of medical equipment, their structure, and also the general principles of their functioning on purpose, and also features of service of this equipment are considered.
Опис: Electrical pacemakers and cardioverter-defibrillators Implantable stimulators for neuromuscular control Respiration and its means Mechanical ventilation of the lungs and its means Medical equipment for providing anesthesia Electrosurgical devices Biomedical lasers Blood glucose monitoring and its means Clinical laboratory equipment Intravenous and other biomedical pumps X-ray diagnostic equipment Diagnostic equipment for obtaining a tomogram Magnetic resonance and NMR tomography Ultrasonic diagnostic equipment Thermal imaging equipment Lithotripters Equipment for diagnosis and treatment of diabetes
Assessment methods and criteria: Grades for practical work are set on the basis of determining the correctness, completeness and independence of the decisions obtained for each of the tasks: - the results obtained are correct, complete and obtained independently - 100% of the maximum score; - the results obtained are correct, complete and obtained with significant assistance and adjustment of the teacher - 90% of the maximum score; - the decisions obtained in the work are correct, but incomplete and obtained with significant help and adjustment of the teacher - 75% of the maximum score; - the obtained results contain errors, but the approach to obtaining a solution and the use of tools for obtaining a solution is correct - 50% of the maximum score. The exam is conducted in written-oral form or in the form of electronic testing on the basis of VNS of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" (written work or electronic test is evaluated with 60 points, oral component - with 10 points). The oral survey involves a sample survey of different sections of the course and simple tasks.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (PC): Defense of practical works - 30 points Written component, testing at the National Security Service - 60 points Oral component - 10 points Total for the discipline - 100 points.
