Major: Biomedical Engineering (Internet of Things)
Code of subject: 6.163.03.E.062
Credits: 4.00
Department: Electronics and Information Technology
Lecturer: Lozynskyy Vasyl Ivanovych
Semester: 6 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: - Ability to select and justify the use of electronic components in the maintenance of medical equipment, to experimentally test the performance of products and determine their characteristics. - Knowledge of engineering methods of calculation and selection of the scope of classical and modern designs of machine parts, components and mechanisms used in modern biotechnical and medical devices and systems, taking into account nanomaterials; - Knowledge of the properties of structural materials, the use of biomaterials and taking into account their biocompatibility.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Physics, part 1,2. Fundamentals of materials science Co-requisites: Fundamentals of biomedical equipment design. Exploitation of biomedical devices
Summary of the subject: The course studies the main types of mechanical and acoustic effects on BMA, mathematical methods of their presentation and sources of their occurrence; physical processes occurring in radio elements, structural elements and in the BMA in general in the presence of mechanical and acoustic loads; basic methods of mathematical modeling of physical and mechanical fields that occur in the structural elements of BMA; methods of protection of BMA from mechanical and acoustic loads and conditions of their effective use; methods of calculation of dynamic parameters of vibroisolated structures of BMA; experimental methods for studying the dynamic properties of BMA.
Assessment methods and criteria: Grades for practical work and RGR are set on the basis of determining the correctness, completeness and independence of the decisions obtained for each of the tasks: - the results obtained are correct, complete and obtained independently - 100% of the maximum score; - the results obtained are correct, complete and obtained with significant assistance and adjustment of the teacher - 90% of the maximum score; - the decisions obtained in the work are correct, but incomplete and obtained with significant help and adjustment of the teacher - 75% of the maximum score; - the obtained results contain errors, but the approach to obtaining a solution and the use of tools for obtaining a solution is correct - 50% of the maximum score. The test is conducted in written-oral form or in the form of electronic testing on the basis of VNS of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" (written work or electronic test is evaluated with 60 points, oral component - with 10 points). The oral survey involves a sample survey of different sections of the course and simple tasks.
