Learning outcomes: Ability to perform statistical processing of accumulated factual data in medicine, in environmental research and in biomedical engineering. Possibility to study the variations of different features in medical examination, and to identify the reasons of these variations Ability to evaluate relationships that are found in research Evaluation of the hypotheses and conclusions that follow from the research Ability to evaluate the hypothesis and obtain conclusions from the research

Summary of the subject: Basic concepts of sampling method. (Signs of their properties - Reasons for variation of monitoring results - Scales for comparison and measurement of features - General population and sample - Methods for selecting statistical material - Methods for grouping primary data - Statistical series) Statistical indicators (average arithmetic mean, mathematical expectation, dispersion Standard deviation, median, asymmetry coefficient, coefficient of variation, coefficient of excess, characteristics of the variation. Distribution laws for discrete and continuous variables. Distributions related to normal. Distributions of discrete quantities. Binomial distribution. Distribution of Poisson. Distributions of continuous quantities. Indicative distribution. Normal distribution and its properties Statistical hypotheses. Concept of statistical hypothesis. Statistical sampling for homogeneity. Statistical testing of hypotheses about the law of distribution of the investigated feature. Pearson Criterion. Criterion Shapiro-Wilka.
