Опис: I. Purpose and goal of scientific research work 1. INTRODUCTION. THE ROLE OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORK IN THE MODERN WORLD. A brief overview of the facts of the history of scientific research. Basic concepts and terminologies in scientific research work in the specialty. 2. MAIN STAGES OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORK. Research planning. Search for information in scientific sources. Determining the state of completion of the obtained results according to the existing plans and the expediency of developing the obtained results and the need to take into account new trends in the development of communication. II. Basic processes of research work 3. GENERATION OF IDEAS. Basic methods of generating ideas and their characteristics. Generating ideas taking into account the possible development of science and technology in the coming years. The emergence of new discoveries, technologies and possible changes in network requirements. Economic feasibility and feasibility of implementing the proposed ideas. Choosing a research topic. 4. THEORETICAL SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORK. Types of theoretical research activity. Scientific research on the specialty based on existing mathematical theories, methods and various models. Summary of the subject: In the process of practical (lecture and laboratory) classes, the following questions will be considered: • familiarization with modern theoretical bases of design (synthesis) of digital electronic devices based on optimization methods of logical synthesis of digital devices and systems, in particular, methods of minimization and functional decomposition based on given data of the designed digital device; getting acquainted with well-known software tools at the level of logical synthesis of digital devices and systems and performing a specific task based on them.
Опис: 1. Introduction to a special course on scientific research. Digitization of information. Classification of digital devices (CPU). General issues of synthesis and analysis of CPU. 2. Theoretical foundations of the special course. The concept of conjunctive term (conjuncterm) as the main object of research of digital devices. Concept of logical function; its image forms and assignment methods. 3. Basics of logical synthesis as one of the main stages of designing digital devices and systems. Basic BUT AND NOT and DO NOT. The main parameters of LE. Minimization of logical functions. Carnot map method. The Quine-McCluskey method. The method of uncoupling conjunctions. 4. Concept of functional decomposition. Fundamentals of structural synthesis of logic circuits and networks. The method of breaking up conjunctions. 5. Software tools for designing digital devices at the stage of logical synthesis for the case of a given function and their system in a full and partial task. 6. Algorithm and program for minimization of a given function and their system in a complete and partial task. SPLIT program. 7. Algorithm and program for decomposition of a given function and their system in a complete and partial task. BRASh program.
Assessment methods and criteria: Methods of monitoring the results of student learning, which are used: a) in the process of current control - checking (using control questions) readiness to perform laboratory work; b) in the process of semester control – checking the answers to the questions of the test task of the written component of the exam and conducting an additional oral survey (oral component).

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the discipline is to acquaint students with the basics of conducting scientific research and processing their results in scientific institutions, departments, laboratories, in particular, in higher educational institutions.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of competencies in students of education: General competences: ZK 1. The ability to learn, to perceive the acquired knowledge in the subject area and to integrate it with the existing ones; ZK 2. The ability to produce new ideas, to show creativity, the ability to system thinking; ZK 3. Ability to search and analyze information from various sources; ZK 4. Acquisition of a flexible way of thinking, which makes it possible to understand and solve problems and tasks, while maintaining a critical attitude to established scientific concepts; ZK 5. The ability to effectively use in practice various theories in the field of training and production. Professional competences: FC 3. The ability to find out cause-and-effect relationships, analyze and summarize information for planning scientific research in a specialty; FC 4.
