Learning outcomes: • Know and understand operation and technology of GII; • Be able to make design specifications, requirements, applications and other documents; • Know the modern innovative technologies in the field of GII; • Be able to perform profiles research of different network architectures interaction and technologies of GII; • Be able to create a perspective network according to the Program for Informatization of Ukraine; • Be able to use the acquired knowledge of architecture and GII scenarios in practice.
Required prior and related subjects: • Communication networks, Part 1, Part 2; • Theory of implementation and protocols for infocommunication networks; • Distributed service systems and cloud technologies • Planning and design of Telecommunication networks.
Summary of the subject: The concept of global information infrastructure; The fundamental building blocks of services; The architecture of global networks; Basic standards and profiles of open systems; Profiles on the Internet; Network synchronization.
Assessment methods and criteria: Defense of practical works in the form of a survey based on completed reports. Examination control (written component – extended answers to questions, oral component – survey based on the list of questions to be studied and submitted for semester control.)

Summary of the subject: The course work is designed to form and develop skills and abilities to design and develop distributed information systems. The explanatory note to the course work should contain textual and illustrative material. The project implementation period is one semester (16 weeks). The standard time allocated to a student to perform the work is 60 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria: 1. Current control in the form of a teacher checking parts of the coursework according to the description of the stages of the coursework. 2. Final control in the form of coursework defense.
