Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of this discipline is to master the ways of solving problematic issues of ensuring risk management arising in innovative activities, the latest knowledge of risk management tools and the acquisition of practical skills and abilities to develop a risk management system in order to optimize the level of risk in the process of innovative activity of the enterprise .
Завдання: The ability to solve complex tasks and problems in the field of management or in the learning process, which involve conducting research and/or implementing innovations under uncertain conditions and requirements; SK4. Ability to effectively use and develop the organization's resources; SK9. Ability to analyze and structure organizational problems, make effective management decisions and ensure their implementation in conditions of uncertainty, attract traditional and new alternative sources of financing innovative processes; FSK1.5. Identify and analyze the possible impact of risk factors and detect symptoms of crisis situations.
Learning outcomes: PRN4. Identify problems in the organization and justify the methods of solving them; PRN11. Be able to communicate in professional and scientific circles in national and foreign languages; PRN14. Be able to delegate authority and management of the organization (subdivision); PRN17. Use of foreign languages in professional activities.

Summary of the subject: The educational discipline "Risk management in innovative activity" is based on the fundamental postulates and results of modern theoretical and applied research in the field of financial risk management, namely: theoretical and organizational problems that arise in the process of managing the risks of innovative activity: a systemic approach - the concept of an enterprise as a single whole; the list of risk-forming factors and methods of their analysis; the concept of innovative risk and its characteristics (subjects and objects of risk; sources of risk, functions, consequences of influence); types of risks that arise in the process of development and commercialization of innovations; qualitative and quantitative methods of assessment of innovative risks; approaches to the construction of risk management in the conditions of implementation of innovative activities; methods of responding to innovative risks. A trained specialist should be able to: identify risk-creating factors and corresponding innovative risks; quantitatively assess the level of innovative risks; form a map of innovative risks of the enterprise; to develop a risk management strategy on the basis of taking into account alternative scenarios of the development of a risk phenomenon; perform the functions of a risk manager.
Опис: Essence, subject, and principles of Risk Management. Evaluation of innovative risk. Quality methods. Quantitative methods. The statistical method. Method feasibility of costs. The expert procedures. The analytical method. The method of using analogies. Financial indicators for quantitative risk analysis. Risk assessment based on innovation cluster analysis. Assessment of risk based on VAR-analysis. Risk management implementation at the company. Basic principles of risk management. Exterior ways to minimize risk. Risk insurance. Risk diversification. The distribution of risk. Mergers and associations of enterprises. Internal tools of risk reduction. Evaluation of the risk reducing methods efficiency.
Assessment methods and criteria: Assessment of the student's knowledge is carried out in the following directions: the presence of specific skills, their depth, stability and flexibility; the degree of mastery of the main provisions of the discipline and their creative application when solving situational problems and cases. Semester control is conducted in the form of an exam. Evaluation methods: selective oral survey; preparation of presentations, reports; answers for the admission and defense of laboratory work, assessment of activity, submitted proposals, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, etc.).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Exam (70 points) 50 points written component and 20 points oral component. Current control 30 points: • for performance and defense of laboratory work (LR) (LR#1 – 5 points, LR#2 – 8 points, LR#3 – 7 points) – 20 points; • performance of situational exercises, cases - 5 points, participation in discussions - 5 points, together - 10 points.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: • The grade "excellent" (88-100 points) is awarded for complete, systematized knowledge. The student must correctly answer the assigned tasks and solve the practical tasks, minor mechanical errors are allowed that do not significantly distort the overall result of the practical tasks. • The grade "good" (71-87 points) assumes that, in general, having mastered the material, the student answers most of the tasks correctly and makes minor inaccuracies and individual errors when solving practical problems. • A grade of "satisfactory" (50-70 points) is given to a student who has significant deficiencies in solving assigned tasks and has gaps in practical knowledge, but tried to solve tasks where he could have made mistakes. • The grade "unsatisfactory" (less than 50 points) is assigned to a student who does not understand the essence of the questions, does not know the basic concepts of the subject and did not answer them correctly.
