Summary of the subject: The basics of the theory and technique of air conditioning and cooling using central air conditioners are described. Structural schemes and classification of central conditioning systems are highlighted. The main equipment of central air conditioners and the method of calculating irrigation chambers and air heaters are given. The I-d diagram shows the processes of air treatment under different schemes of air conditioning in central air conditioners. The artificial sources of cooling supply of central air conditioners and the method of calculating their cooling capacity, as well as the cooling supply system of condensers of refrigerating machines, are considered.

Опис: Requirements to central ACS. Structural scheme and classification of central ACS. Categories of design parameters of external climate for ACS. Calculation parameters of internal air for designing ACS. Basic schemes, work and structural features of central ACS. Construction, principle of work and calculation of irrigation chambers of central conditioners. Construction, principle of work and calculation of air heaters of central conditioners. Air filters and its characteristics. Fan units of central ACS. Principle scheme and work of central straight flow ACS, ACS with І recirculation, ACS with І і ІІ recirculation аnd its calculation. Basic scheme and way of work of water vapor-compressor refrigerating machine (RМ) with heat exchanger for heat utilization. Scheme and way of work of thermostatic valve of vapor-compressor RМ. Temperature regime of work of water vapor-compressor RМ with heat exchanger for heat utilization. Representing of process of work of water vapor-compressor RМ on р-і–diagram. Cooling capacity of water vapor-compressor RМ. Recalculation of standard cooling capacity to working one. Scheme and way of work of spray pool and calculation of temperature of water chilled in a spray pool. Scheme and way of work cooling tower.
Assessment methods and criteria: Cumulative point-rating system, which involves evaluating students for all types of classroom and extra-curricular educational and scientific activities, aimed at mastering the educational load of the educational and professional program: current control, laboratory reports, oral presentations, defense of course projects and graphic and calculation works, written and oral exams and assessments; practice on the subject of the magister's qualification work, defense of the magister's qualification work.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control (laboratory works - 20 points, oral examination - 20 points); final control (60 points, control measure, written and oral form, exam).
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) is awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literary sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied in their interrelationship and development, clearly, succinctly, logically, consistently answer the questions, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems;
87–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70 – 50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for weak knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.

Опис: Purpose of the building, characteristics of the construction and technological parts of the air-conditioned room. Basic climatological data of the construction site. Calculated parameters of indoor air in an air-conditioned room. Calculation of excess heat input and moisture and gas emissions into the air-conditioned room and the angular coefficient of the assimilation process of excess heat and moisture in the room. Construction of air processing processes in the central air conditioner with I recirculation for warm and cold periods of the year on the I-d diagram and determination of the performance of the air conditioner. Calculation of air distribution in an air-conditioned room. Calculation and selection of the irrigation chamber. Calculation of the splash pool. Calculation and selection of I and II heating air heaters. Calculation and selection of a refrigeration unit with a p-diagram. Corresponding drawings on A1 format.
