Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: • Knowledge of the typology and classification of historical buildings and the principles of their comprehensive research; • knowledge of the latest technologies of field research and computer modeling of historical architectural objects; • knowledge of methods and practice of renovation (restoration) of historic buildings, the specifics of building materials and technologies in the restoration and reconstruction of architectural objects, elements of their architectural structure; • knowledge in the field of state policy of spatial planning, basic problems of spatial planning and regional development, solving problems of preserving the historical and architectural environment of the historic city; • ability to form a project restoration idea and consistently develop it during project development, to provide in the project solutions of architectural-compositional and actual social and ecological problems of creating a healthy, accessible and comfortable environment in the historical space; • apply current methods, techniques and technologies of renovation (restoration) of architectural and urban planning objects in the course of design work, including compositional modeling and computer design; • ability to defend the adopted project decisions at meetings of advisory, scientific-methodical, town-planning councils of state and local monument-protection institutions
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisite: Architectural design (Reconstruction residential building), Reconstruction and restoration of architectural objects, protection of architectural monuments, Technologies in the restoration of buildings and their artistic structure. Co-requisite: Modern concepts and innovations in architecture and urban planning (KP), Comprehensive research and scientific principles regeneration of historical town-planning complexes and ensembles of architectural-town-planning object, Methodology of scientific-design process of preservation of the historical city.
Summary of the subject: The discipline "Renovation of buildings" is based on the following sections - preliminary study of the design object, research work with the object, study of scientific and practical principles of restoration design of ensembles of architectural monuments, formation of the concept and implementation of restoration projects of monumental urban complexes

Summary of the subject: The discipline allows you to master basic skills in the design of public and residential facilities in conditions of reconstruction, learn to develop the concept of an architectural object at different structural levels. During training, the professional worldview and creative method of the future architect is formed, students master the method of system-synergistic approach in architectural design in conducting pre-project site analysis, context analysis and identifying natural and anthropogenic factors of the environment that influence the formation of modern architectural buildings and complexes. While studying the discipline, students apply in practice the main methods of pre-project analysis and architectural design, following the following basic stages: sketch-idea, sketch, design drawings. Initially, students work on the implementation of pre-project research in small groups (3-4 students). In the future, using modern architectural and planning, compositional and constructive techniques, students individually develop a project of an architectural object based on previously developed conceptual solutions at the structural levels "Territory - Complex - Yard - Building" (for public objects), " Residential quarter - Residential group - Residential yard - Residential building" (for residential objects). As a result of studying the discipline, the student acquires knowledge: the main factors that influence the reconstruction of territories and objects: societal factors (social, demographic, aesthetic); natural and anthropogenic environmental factors according to the modern scientific picture of the world; basic principles of reconstruction of urban territories and objects.
Опис: Introductory talk: the latest world design trends; a system of factors affecting the architecture of public and residential facilities under reconstruction conditions. Issuance of the task. Acquaintance with the experience of designing architectural objects of various types in conditions of reconstruction. Analysis of the structure of urban areas, identification of potential users, analysis of the public service system. Pre-project analysis of the site and context on the reference plan of the territory. Clause 1. Project concept at the territory-complex level. Taking into account the results of preliminary design studies. Clause protection and analysis. Approval of the conceptual model of the object. Work on the scheme of the general plan of the site. Individual consultations. Work on the concept of functional and spatial organization of the object. Clause 2. Project concept at the building level.
