Learning outcomes: Assimilation of theoretical aspects of formation of ecological design and mastering of the main practical skills of the ecological approach in designing. The student must: understand the pu place of the course "environmental design" in the general system of professional designer training; regularities and methods of formation of the basic Design approaches in ecodesign; advantages of the ecological approach of designing in comparison with traditional design; know: methods of searching for formative ideas, based on environmental factors; be able to: choose, depending on the requirements of a particular project task, optimal solutions taking into account the environmental aspect The discipline is based on auxiliary topics of theoretical and practical provisions that reveal the basic laws of the process of environmental design. The study of the proposed course requires a creative approach from students, focuses on independent search for ideas and original strategies to perform specific practical tasks taking into account the environmental factor, requires students to develop additional visual and professional literature information.

Summary of the subject: Theory: the history of formation and development of an ecological approach in the Design. The impact of environmental problems on the development of project culture. Ecological consciousness. Definition of "ecodesign". Typical examples of ecodesign objects. Defining the principles of artistic formation in ecodesign. Formative features of ecodesign. Nature as an inspiration for artistic wrapping. Multisensory design, concept and scope. Specifics and evaluation criteria of ecodesign products. It is recommended for the design concept to take cultural, scientific, artistic, literary, political, or commercial activities related to environmental issues. Preliminary analysis of the initial situation. Completion of task 1. Visual and advertising image on environmental topics. Marketing consideration - definition of the target audience. Setting the technical and design task - functional, communicative and aesthetic requirements for the project. Advertising narrative of environmental action. Story creation: for promotions, events, according to the time and space framework of the selected event. Visual and communication concept of the event: identification and navigation signs, presentational multimedia and printed products. Logical coordination of the visual-spatial idea with the plot of the event. Performance of control work: Design of visual communications Development of the concept of visual communication - signs of identification and navigation: emblem, logo, information-text block, slogan, echo phrase, opening phrase, character design.
