Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of teaching the discipline is to provide the necessary knowledge to understand the laws of the historical development of the architectural environment of Ukraine, the role of the state in this process, and an adequate assessment of the historical architectural and cultural heritage of Ukraine in order to preserve local identity in the modern architectural and construction process.
Завдання: The study of an educational discipline involves the formation of such competencies: INT. The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of urban planning and architecture, characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions, based on the application of modern architectural theories and methods, tools of related sciences. General competences: GC 01. Knowledge and understanding of the subject area and understanding of the subject activity GC 04. Ability to communicate in the national language both orally and in writing. GC10. The ability to preserve and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on an understanding of the history and patterns of development of the subject area, their place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, technology and technologies, to use various types and forms of motor activity for active recreation and leading a healthy lifestyle. Special competences: SC01. Awareness of socio-economic and cultural aspects of architecture and urban planning. SC03. Awareness of the peculiarities of the development of historical and modern styles in architecture, urban planning, art and design of Ukraine and foreign countries. SC07. Awareness of the basic laws and principles of architectural and urban composition, the formation of an artistic image and style in the process of designing buildings and structures, urban, architectural, environmental and landscape objects. SC08. Understanding the theoretical and methodological foundations of architectural design of buildings and structures, urban planning, architectural-environmental and landscape objects. SC14. Awareness of the peculiarities of the use of modern building materials, products and structures, as well as technologies in the creation of objects of architecture and urban planning. SC16. Awareness of the general theoretical, methodical and creative principles of architectural design. SC17. Awareness of the theoretical foundations of urban planning and the ability to apply them to solve complex specialized problems.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student should be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: LO 01. Free communication on professional issues in national and foreign languages orally and in writing. LO 02. Knowledge of the basic principles and principles of architectural and urban planning. LO 05. The ability to apply the basic theories of design, reconstruction and restoration of architectural and urban planning, architectural and environmental and landscape objects, modern methods and technologies, international and domestic experience to solve complex specialized problems of architecture and urban planning. LO 06. The ability to collect, analyze and evaluate information from various sources, necessary for making informed project architectural and urban planning decisions. LO 16. Understanding the socio-economic, ecological, ethical and aesthetic consequences of the proposed solutions in the field of urban planning and architecture. In addition: 1. To know the main stages of the formation and development of Ukrainian statehood, to understand the relationship between historical events and the current level of development of the national identity of the architectural environment. 2. To know the history of Ukrainian architecture: the most important buildings and ensembles characteristic of each historical period, the work of famous architects - representatives of various stylistic directions and historical stages who worked on the territory of Ukraine. 3. To be able to determine the style of a building based on its external features and to approximately determine the time of its construction, to use theoretical knowledge in practical design, especially in the conditions of a historically formed architectural environment. 4. To know the traditional features of Ukrainian architecture at various stages of its formation and development, to be able to use architectural and compositional means to form the Ukrainian identity of modern architecture.

Summary of the subject: The course "History of statehood and architectural and cultural traditions of Ukraine" consists only of the theoretical, lecture part The content of the lectures covers all the main stages of the development of statehood, architecture and culture of Ukraine, starting from the Paleolithic until the end of the 20th century. The main emphasis is placed on understanding the historical circumstances of the formation of cultural and architectural traditions of Ukraine, the influence of one's own statehood (or its absence) on the direction and quality of the development of architectural processes, the importance of the characteristics of the architectural environment for the national and cultural self-identification of society. Characteristic compositional-spatial, constructive, visual features of Ukrainian architecture at various stages of historical development are determined. Special attention is paid to folk residential and sacred architecture, traditional features of Ukrainian architecture, which for a long time formed the national architectural identity of the environment of Ukrainian cities and settlements, as well as the analysis of destructive factors that led to its decline. The history of architecture is considered against the background of the social, political and economic situation, the influence of European styles on Ukrainian architecture and their transformation in the conditions of Ukraine are analyzed. The activity of the most prominent Ukrainian architects and cultural figures active in different historical periods is considered. The study of the discipline by future architects will contribute to the preservation and formation of national identity in the modern architectural environment of Ukraine.
Опис: The purpose of lectures is to provide students with theoretical knowledge about the history of statehood and the architectural and cultural traditions of Ukraine. The content of the lecture material: Ancient settlement on the territory of Ukraine, its composition, identity, architectural environment in historical retrospect until the beginning of the 1st millennium AD. State-building processes, architecture and culture of Ukraine in the 1st - at the beginning of the 2nd millennium AD; Political and economic circumstances of architectural and cultural processes in Ukraine in the 14th-16th centuries. Changes in the state status of Ukrainian territories. The genesis of the Ukrainian identity of the architectural environment. Traditions of residential architecture in Ukraine. Traditions of shaping Ukrainian wooden churches in various regional schools of folk construction. Historical circumstances of the development of Ukrainian Renaissance architecture (XVI-XVII centuries). Restoration of Ukrainian statehood, its influence on cultural, artistic and architectural processes in Ukraine in the XVII-XVIII centuries. Architectural processes in Ukraine in the 18th and 19th centuries. in the absence of statehood; russian and Austrian stylistic influences. Historicism in Ukrainian architecture of the 2nd half of the 19th century. Actualization of national themes in the culture and architecture of Ukraine in the conditions of the absence of statehood at the beginning 20th century. The systematic destruction of Ukrainian identity in the architecture of Ukraine during the Soviet period (1920-1980). The main characteristics of the historically formed Ukrainian identity of the architectural environment.
Assessment methods and criteria: According to the curriculum, all classroom hours for the discipline "History of statehood and architectural and cultural traditions of Ukraine" are lectures. Therefore, the final semester grade is the result of the completion of an individual research task and the answer to the exam. Determination of the level of assimilation of the theoretical material is carried out by the method of passing the test control in the emergency department of the Lviv Polytechnic University.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: During the semester, a student can get 30 points for completing an individual graphic task and 70 points for examination control - for answers to test questions at the VNS of Lviv Polytechnic. The sum of grades received by the student for the specified types of completed academic work constitutes the final semester grade.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - ("excellent") is assigned for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the component's educational material contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena studied in their interconnection and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is assigned for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is assigned for poor knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of repeating the semester control) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate while solving practical problems, ignorance of the basic fundamental provisions.
