As a result of training, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes: 1. Understand the importance and meaning of conducting pre-project studies, analysis of analogues and being able to use the obtained results in the design of visual communications. 2. To be taken into account when creating visual objects communications needs of all categories of consumers. 3. Apply complex artistic design approach for creation of a complete image of visual objects communications 4. Use the main theoretical and methodological concepts and principles in the design of visual communications. 5. Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages (in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish). 6. Ability to use various methods, including modern ones information technologies, for effective communication at the professional and social levels. 7. Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions. 8. The ability to realize the need for lifelong learning for the purpose of deepening acquired new professional knowledge. 9. The ability to take responsibility for the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics. 10. Ability to popularize national and world heritage cultural heritage, as well as to promote manifestations of patriotism, national self-awareness and ethno-cultural self-identification. 11 Ability to form environmental awareness and personal culture, apply ecological principles in life and professional activity..

Summary of the subject: The course "Theory and Methods in the Design of Visual Communications" is designed for one semester of study and covers 90 hours. and structurally includes two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part of the course the main types and stages of pre-project research are considered, the main stages of project material development are determined. In the practical part of the course the analysis, systematization of research material is carried out. The design of printed publications, digital animation, etc. can be chosen as the object of research. In order to interact with the relevant disciplines, the student is invited to develop methods of pre-project analysis on related course projects. The discipline is based on the themes of theoretical and practical provisions that reveal the basic laws of pre-project research and synthesis of design products. The study of the proposed course requires a creative approach from students, focuses on independent search for strategies to perform analytical tasks, requires them to develop additional literature.
