Мета вивчення дисципліни: The subject "Landscape design" is an integral part of the professional training of specialists in the "Design" specialty. The purpose of studying the discipline is the formation of students' knowledge, ideas and skills regarding the assessment of the aesthetic qualities of the landscape in order to use the possibilities of landscape design. The greatest attention is paid to the issues of the general landscape organization of the modern city and the formation of its separate functional and planning elements (city parks, squares, boulevards, etc.), as well as the landscape arrangement of residential areas, city centers, etc.
Завдання: The study of an academic discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: INT The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of design, or in the learning process, which involves the application of certain design theories and methods and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. professional competences of a professional direction: PCS1.1. The ability to conduct pre-project studies and analyze project solution analogues. PCS1.2 The ability to develop several options for conceptual solutions of objects of the subject-spatial environment. PCS1.3 The ability to develop the design of the environment of object-spatial complexes for buildings and structures. PCS1.4. The ability to take into account the needs of all categories of consumers and apply a comprehensive approach to design when creating objects of the subject-spatial environment.
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: · · Execution of complex design tasks in the main profile discipline – "Design". · Know such categories and concepts as landscape art, typology of landscape design objects, structure of park space, small architectural forms. · Know the history of landscape art. · Know the theoretical and methodological approaches and concepts in landscape design, professional terminology, categories and concepts. · Search for new forms in landscape design, design of gardens and parks, principles of construction of landscape composition of gardens and parks, characteristics of different types of gardens. PLO1.1. Understand the importance and value of pre-design studies, analysis of analogs of design solutions and be able to use the obtained results in design. PLO1.4. Apply a complex artistic and design approach to create a holistic image of the subject-spatial environment. PLO1.6. Create the design of the environment of object-spatial complexes, buildings and structures and small architectural forms in the landscape. PLO1.7. Use basic theoretical and methodological concepts and principles in the design of the subject-spatial environment. COM1. Skills, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish). COM2. Ability to use a variety of methods, including modern information technologies, for effective communication at professional and social levels. AaR1. Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions. AaR2. Ability to understand the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired new professional knowledge. АaR3. Ability to take responsibility for the work performed, make decisions independently, achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics. АaR4. Ability to promote the achievements of national and world cultural heritage, as well as to promote patriotism, national self-awareness and ethnic and cultural self-identification. АaR5. Ability to form environmental awareness and personal culture, to apply environmental principles in life and professional activities.

Summary of the subject: The subject "Landscape Design" is an integral part of the professional training of specialists in the specialty "Design". The purpose of studying the discipline is to form students' knowledge, ideas and skills in assessing the aesthetic qualities of the landscape to use the possibilities of landscape design. Most attention is paid to the general landscape organization of the modern city and the formation of its individual functional and planning elements (city parks, squares, boulevards, etc.), as well as landscaping of residential areas, urban centers, etc. The study of the discipline involves the formation and development of students' ability to solve problems related to the formation of the environment using modern scientific methods, based on knowledge of both basic and related disciplines; develop the ability to rationally and expediently use existing natural conditions in the design of objects, freely navigate the choice of solutions in various landscape conditions, as well as creative approach, focuses on independent search for ideas and foundations of original strategies to perform specific practical tasks.

Historical gardens and parks (European landscape art of the 18th-19th centuries, naturalistic gardens, European landscape art of the end of the 19th-20th centuries, urban gardens and parks) Topic 3. Modern trends in landscape design. Form formation in gardens and parks of the 20th century. Landscape design of the era of urbanization. Topic 4. Subject, tasks and concepts of landscape design. Typology of landscape design objects. The task of landscape design. Topic 5. Laws and techniques of landscape design. Combination of form and content in landscape design. Laws of perspective, proportions, laws of symmetry and asymmetry, color harmony and contrast. Topic 6. Landscape as a material for creating garden and park objects. Landscape qualities of the landscape. Assessment of the aesthetic qualities of the landscape. Topic 7. Elements of the park landscape. The structure of the park space. Forms of plantings and principles of their composition. Topic 8. Formation of a comfortable environment by means of landscape design. Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (30%) – evaluation of graphic works Final control (70%) – exam, oral and written form During the semester, a student can score 20 points for completing three tasks, 30 for practical work and 50 points for examination control for passing test questions at the VNS of Lviv Polytechnic. The sum of the marks received by the student for the specified types of completed academic work constitutes a final semester mark of 100 points.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Determining the level of students' knowledge is carried out by the following control methods: 1. Current control. 2. Exam testing and oral interview. 3. Verification of practical tasks. Exam testing and surveying is a mandatory final form of control that allows you to assess the systematic assimilation of educational material. During the current control, the student's level of knowledge on the theoretical issues of the course is determined. The task of current control is the understanding and assimilation of certain material, the ability to study literature independently, the ability to understand the content of the topic, as well as to present certain material in writing and graphically. When evaluating the practical task "Landscape group in the landscaping of public space", such evaluation criteria as the completeness and visibility of the disclosure of the topic, the expediency of scientific methods, a systematic approach to the problem, and the integrity of the graphic presentation are taken into account.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - ("excellent") is assigned for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the component's educational material contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena studied in their interconnection and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is assigned for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is assigned for poor knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of repeating the semester control) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate while solving practical problems, ignorance of the basic fundamental provisions.
