Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: Interactive design Part 1 Basics of design and computer graphics Fundamentals of subject environment design Basics of visual communications and computer graphics Co-requisites: Web design 3D modeling Multimedia design
Summary of the subject: Course "Interactive design. Part 2 "(CP) is designed for one semester of study, covers a total of 120 hours and structurally includes laboratory classes and independent work. The course includes theoretical and practical parts: the theoretical part of the course forms an understanding of the key principles of interactive design in the context of issues and tasks of environmental design; helps to understand the role of interaction design in the technological level of creation of interactive design objects, to determine the stages of work; to realize the synthesis of artistic and design creativity. The practical part of the course involves testing the acquired knowledge and implementing the design of interaction through a series of practical tasks and a course project. Students are given the opportunity to choose a task option related to the design of visual communication, or the design of the subject environment.
Опис: Topic 1. Introduction to the course. Purpose and objectives of the course. Program learning outcomes. Familiarization with the structure of classes and the subject of the course project. The concept of interactive design, its place and role in the context of graphic design and environment design. Review and analysis of the best student course projects of previous courses. Topic 2. The student's choice of direction and topic of the future course project. B1. Analysis of samples of visual identification of Ukrainian and global companies. Choosing the subject of the future interactive brand book. B2. Components of a working project. Its logic and structure. Analysis of various project documentation, including positive and negative works of previous courses. Review of real project documentation and its analysis. Topic 3. B1. Define brand strategy. Sketch search and digitization in the computer graphics editor of the company logo. Visualization of scaling, transformation and adaptability of the created logo. B2. Classification and basic concepts of BIM technologies. BIM technology (Building Information Modeling) involves the construction of accurate virtual models in digital form. The use of such models greatly facilitates the design process at all its stages, providing more thorough analysis and control. Topic 4. B1. Working with typography and fonts. Searching for the necessary typefaces that contribute to visual identification, visually complement the logo and correspond to the company's field of activity. Creation of business cards, letterheads, posters and other samples of printed branded products. B2. Functional analysis of the project volume. Finding relevant solutions. Any design process (renovation or new construction) involves matching existing inputs with design constraints and goals. Topic 6. B1. Search and adaptation of references to create a personalized mockup of the brand presentation on corporate style media, which should be relevant to the company's field of activity. B2. Interior modeling tools. Columns and beams of complex (arbitrary) cross-section. Plinths, moldings, cornices and their settings. Organizing the library of own profiles for their further use in future projects. Topic 7. B1. Creation of presentation materials in .pdf format, features of export and provision of interactivity by adding inter-page navigation and hyperlinks to external resources. B2. By applying layers, you can superimpose various working drawings on one virtual model while simultaneously editing them. Protection of course project. Variant of the Course Project by topic 1. Variant of the Course Project by topic 2.
Assessment methods and criteria: Determining the level of students' knowledge is carried out by the following methods of current control: control of current tasks and independent work of the student. Current control is carried out during training and makes it possible to determine the degree of formation of knowledge, skills, abilities of students, in addition, stimulates the responsibility of students to prepare for each lesson. Credit is a mandatory final form of control, which allows you to assess the systematic assimilation of educational material and can not be reduced to the level of current forms of control. During the semester a student can score up to 30 points. On the test - a maximum of 70 points. To be admitted to the test, the student must score at least 20 points based on the results of the current control.
