Summary of the subject: The course "Fundamentals of Design and Computer Graphics, Part 1" consists of three blocks: "Project Graphics"; "Engineering graphics"; "Computer Graphics". The “Project Graphics” block acquaints students with various graphic techniques for further design decisions. The aim is to master the technical means of expression used in artistic design and to get acquainted with the specifics of graphic representation of the forms of objects in printing, advertising, industrial and interior design. The block "Engineering Graphics" is aimed at forming students' knowledge for the competent design and design documentation, in accordance with generally accepted state norms and rules. And also for the development of students' spatial thinking and ability to read drawings. The Computer Graphics section is aimed at acquainting students with the basic concepts of computer graphics, graphic file formats and different types of graphic editors, their specifics and scope. The purpose of the block is to form basic knowledge in the field of creating and editing graphic files using software.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: assessment of practical tasks and activity in the classroom in order to check the level of acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the student. The overall grade is the sum of the student's scores for current work during the semester and КP. Final control: differentiated test. Total for the discipline - 100 points: 80 points - practical tasks; 20 points - сoursework.
