Characteristics of the educational program: The educational and professional program is based on the known positions and results of modern scientific research on mісго- and nаnо-system technology, automatic control theory, industrial electronics and orients on actual specialization, within which the further professional and scientific career is possible: technicians in the field of micro-and nano-system engineering; automation equipment operators; junior specialists in the field of mісго- and nаnо-system technology. - Students of the direction "Mісго- and nаnо-system technology" receive the necessary knowledge to solve complex specialized and practical problems during professional work in the field of mісго- and nаnо-system technology or in the learning process that involves the use of quantum theories and methods of nanoelectronics, nanophotonics and are characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. - Experts on micro and nanosystem engineering possess the necessary knowledge of scientific concepts, theories, and methods needed to understand the principles of operation and functionality of instruments and devices of micro- and nano-system technology. -The total volume of the educational and professional program - 240 ECTS credits, including a cycle of humanitarian and social-economic training – 19 ECTS credits; the cycle of natural-scientific training – 69 ECTS credits; the cycle of professional and practical training – 152 ECTS credits.
Програмні результати навчання: Knowledge: 1. Ability to apply knowledge of the principles of micro- and nanosystem devices operation in their design and operation. 2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of mathematical methods to solve theoretical and applied problems of micro- and nanosystem technology. 3. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of physics, relevant theories, models, and methods to solve practical problems of synthesis of devices of micro- and nanosystem technology. 4. Ability to evaluate the characteristics and parameters of materials of micro- and nanosystem devices, to know and understand the basics of solid-state and optical electronics, nanoelectronics, electrical engineering, analog and digital circuitry, microprocessor technology. 5. Ability to use information and communication technologies, applied and specialized software products to solve problems of design and commissioning of solar energy equipment, physical and biomedical electronics devices. 6. Ability to apply the skills of planning and conducting experiments to test hypotheses and study the phenomena of micro- and nanoelectronics, be able to use standard equipment, draw up device diagrams, analyze, model, and critically evaluate the results. 7. Ability to apply the understanding of the theory of stochastic processes, methods of statistical processing, and data analysis in solving professional problems. Skills: 1. Ability to study the characteristics and parameters of micro- and nanosystem technology, devices of physical and biomedical electronics, taking into account the objectives of the study, the requirements, and specifics of the selected technical means. 2. Ability to build and identify mathematical models of technological objects, use them in the development of new micro- and nano-system techniques and the selection of optimal solutions. 3. Ability to design devices of micro- and nanosystem technology in accordance with customer requirements and available resource constraints. 4. Ability to develop technical means for diagnosing the technical condition of micro- and nanosystem technology, devices of physical and biomedical electronics. 5. Ability to organize and conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, adjustment of technical equipment in accordance with current production requirements. 6. Ability to analyze the legal framework for the introduction of micro- and nanosystem technology, assess the benefits of engineering, their environmental friendliness, and safety. 7. Ability to communicate freely orally and in writing in state and foreign languages on professional issues in compliance with the norms of modern Ukrainian business and professional language. 8. Ability to learn new knowledge, advanced technologies, and innovations, find new non-standard solutions and means of their implementation. 9. Ability to carry out circuit design and engineering design of the Internet of Things, using the appropriate packages of applied computer programs. Communication skills: 1. Ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and one of the foreign languages (English, German, French, Spanish); 2. Ability to use a variety of methods, including information technology, for effective communication at the professional and social levels.

Work placement(s): An important aspect of preparation of specialists on micro- and nanosystem technology is an educational practice that takes place in laboratories of Research Center "Crystal" (Lviv Polytechnic National University), laboratories of Scientific Research Company "Carat"

Gives the technical tasks for the development of instruments and devices of micro- and nano-system technology; 2. Provides design and schematic design using the appropriate applied software packages; 3. Develops the mathematical models of electronic devices and systems for a given technical tasks; 4. Develops the methods for evaluating the quality of materials of mісго- and nаnо-system technology, methods of testing of instruments and devices, metrological calibration systems; 5. Selects the optimal structural and technological options for devices mісго- and nаnоsystem technology. B. Professional profile – Biomedical systems of Internet of things: 1. Uses professional knowledge and skills to develop elements and designs of biomedical equipment devices; 2. Uses knowledge and practical skills to develop technological processes in the field of nanotechnology, biomedical micro- and nanosystem technology; 3. Uses professional knowledge and practical skills to develop biomedical information systems and measurement and diagnostic systems; 4. Uses knowledge of methods of observation, description, identification, classification, research of biomedical systems and phenomena; 5. Applies the methodology of scientific research at the theoretical and practical levels.
